17% fewer service requests, 22% faster parts ordering, 17% more online orders
Waterkracht, a leading manufacturer of industrial cleaning machines and high-pressure cleaners, set out to optimize its spare parts ordering process. The goal: make it easier for customers to find and order the right parts—quickly, accurately, and with less support needed.
The Challenge
Traditionally, customers and service teams accessed exploded-view diagrams and parts data through printed catalogs. This approach was time-consuming and prone to errors. Waterkracht needed a digital solution that could modernize this process, integrate seamlessly with their existing webshop and Infor ERP system, and deliver a better user experience across the board.
The Solution
Waterkracht partnered with Frontis and implemented spareparts.live, an intelligent platform that turns both legacy paper-based catalogs and new digital datasets into interactive, clickable exploded-view diagrams.
Spareparts.live was initially integrated with Kentico CMS, and later with Waterkracht’s updated Umbraco Commerce webshop. This tight integration synchronizes exploded-view data with ERP product information, allowing users to click on a part in the visual diagram and jump straight into the ordering process.
To enhance the user experience further, product data was also connected to projects and technical content, enabling customers to manage their machines, see personalized parts pricing, real‑time stock, and accessories.
Thanks to the platform’s flexible architecture, the rollout was smooth and fast—delivering immediate value without disruption.
The Results
- 📉 17% fewer customer service requests
- ⚡ 22% faster parts ordering process
- 📈 17% increase in webshop orders
- 🛠️ Waterkracht can now efficiently process exploded views internally and is expanding this across their full product range.
- 🏭 Factory staff—including assembly, service, and support teams—use spareparts.live to work more efficiently, replacing outdated paper drawings with fast, visual access to the right parts.
In Summary
By digitizing and connecting their spare parts ecosystem with spareparts.live, Waterkracht has achieved major operational improvements—reducing service load, boosting efficiency, and empowering both customers and internal teams. It’s a textbook example of how smart digital tools can drive real business impact.
